INITIATOR TRAINING

INTEGRATED INITIATOR TRAINING – VEDIC MEDITATION

Tim will conduct Integrated Initiator Training in a non-residential format from February to October 2017. The purpose of this course is to train individuals to initiate and instruct in the art of Vedic Meditation.

To be eligible to join this program, you will have been practicing Vedic Meditation for a minimum of twelve months and preferably attended at at least one Residential Weekend Retreat and/or Advanced Mantra Technique.

Application to join the program will be made in writing to Tim.

The course will involve the following components:

1. TRANSFER OF STRUCTURED TEACHING MATERIALS

Structured teaching materials will be provided in accordance with the Tradition. This will occur on Friday mornings in Tim’s rooms at The Paddington Wellbeing Centre, 9.30- 11.30am, for the duration of the course to test components and further develop understanding of content. Consistent attendance at these is critical however the lectures will be taped so should a week be missed catch up will be possible. Files will be accessible via Dropbox. Formal meetings will commence on 3rd February 2017.

2. RESIDENTIAL RETREATS

Attendance at two residential Rounding Retreats and the intensive rounding experience they deliver is a course requirement. While dates are yet to be set, these are likely to be held in Bundanoon in April and Byron Bay in July.

3. PERSONAL MENTORING

Each course participant is invited to five private mentoring consultations over the duration of the course to address individual needs and instruction.

4. TESTING OF TEACHING MATERIALS

There will be testing of aspects of the teaching material to be completed to exact requirements throughout teacher training. These include:

  1. Puja recitation
  2. English translation of Puja
  3. Performance of Puja
  4. 30 point Checking Procedure
  5. General points
  6. Children’s initiation
  7. Group meditation procedure
  8. Three Days of Checking
  9. Introductory Talk
  10. Correct selection & delivery of Mantras
ATTENDANCE AT COURSES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Attendance at courses conducted by Tim throughout the year in both the evening format and weekend format will be available for you to attend to experience first-hand teaching, teaching method and course management. This is an elective component of the course but highly recommended.

GRADUATION

Graduation will be conducted in either Sydney OR Rishikesh, India in October during the India Panchakarma Retreat. This will be a two-week trip to India including ten days of panchakarma, and is highly recommended prior to commencement of teaching. This retreat is not included in the Initiator Training Course Fee.

Confirmation of your participation in the course will require written commitment by 31st January.
